Today in class we had a new sentence of the week. We worked on occasion position sentence starters and making sentences more complicated. Here is our sentence of the week. New sentences are due tomorrow. Use the sentence starters that are in the sentences on the doc, but re-create the rest of the sentence. Be sure to underline your occasion position starter and label the cause and effect part of the sentence.
After that, we moved on to discussing our next unit, poetry! We talked about the different places we see poetry, who is considered a poet, etc. We then headed down to the hub to get exposed to many different forms of poetry and to just get accustomed to finding it and reading it. Students needed to fill out this sheet on three different poems. We will continue working on this tomorrow.
