Nov 28, 2012 Prefixes

Today in class we read a super suspenseful part of Flipped!!  It was all we could do to tear ourselves away from reading!  We are so close to being done, I think we might be able to finish it tomorrow.....

We also talked about what a prefix is today.  I must say I was surprised at how much "pre"-knowledge everyone had on this subject....wink wink.  Things we talked about....

• Prefix: An affix attached to the front of a word that changes the meaning of the word
• A prefix is always spelled the same
• We looked at pre, re, mis, and auto

We will work on this more tomorrow and will begin discussing what a suffix is.
