Today we continued our work with non-fiction text by discussing the non-fiction articles we handed out yesterday. There were three different articles passed out so we broke up into three groups to discuss the different articles in more detail. We read through the articles together and then discussed the main idea and details, while listing them in Cornell notes.
All of the articles had to do with distracted driving, so after we discussed them separately students paired up to create a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting the information presented in both.
Finally, we read our read aloud, Chasing Lincoln's Killer.
Tomorrow we will continue discussing the non-fiction articles by comparing and contrasting them.
