Feb 7, 2013 Compass Learning and SOW

Today in class we practiced our language skills on compass learning in the computer lab.  After spending some time on this we had our sentence of the week a day early (still due on Monday).  From this we learned that a semicolon is used between two independent clauses, when the clauses are related, and that a comma goes after the transition word when it is after the semicolon.  See the sentence of the week link for examples of these concepts.  Finally we reviewed what we discussed yesterday with Step Up to Writing.

Tomorrow we have our incentive so don't forget to have any missing work turned in and all library fines paid!
