Homework: Complete Theme Worksheet
Today we began lit circles....dun dun duuuuun.....
We started class with the journal prompt: How do you deal with anger? This led perfectly into our new lit circle book Touching Spirit Bear. We read the first chapter out loud and it dealt a lot with the main character, Cole, and the anger he has. We do not yet know where ALL of this anger comes from, but I have a feeling we'll be finding out.....
Tomorrow we will be breaking up into our actual lit circles and we will continue on with the book. We also talked more about theme today in class. I read this Chinese proverb and then as a class we discussed what the theme was. The theme was that you should never be ashamed of your imperfections because everyone is valuable in different ways. The homework for tonight is to finish a theme worksheet.
